Sales Representative – Surface

Role Summary/Purpose:

Based out of New Mexico, the Sales Representative will be focused on growing Lufkin’s Surface market share and revenue for the Permian/Delaware Basin market. Products and services include automation, Beam Pumping Units (BPU) and associated services. He/she will focus on key decision makers in the area, communicating Lufkin’s value and differentiating factors and secure wins. He/she will do so by understanding the Permian/Delaware Energy market, our prospective and current customer needs as well as the competitive landscape. He/she will create a sales plan on growth targeting prospective customers and building upon existing and strategic customers. This team member will gain business by building strong relationships through technical knowledge, integrity, customer service and product reliability. He/she will communicate Lufkin’s value proposition, complete, and shorten sales cycles and deliver the products/services to meet those needs and achieving goals as outlined by the sales plan. This role reports directly to the Surface Sales Director.



Essential Responsibilities:

  • Understand industry trends, market dynamics and standards/regulatory developments
  • Understand competitive landscape and maintain competitive and industry analysis
  • Write proposals in response to RFQs and RFPs
  • Informal quotes while communicating our technical knowledge and value proposition
  • Participate in bidding strategy for key customers and create new opportunities
  • build strong customer relationships and delivers customer-centric solutions
  • establish partner relationships with clients and monitor client satisfaction (internal/external)
  • work with operations teams and other sales team members to win the overall sale within a company organization


 

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Strong technical background
  • A self-starter with a strong drive
  • Entrepreneurial approach to growing, maintaining and defending business
  • Ability to work well under pressure.
  • Must have unrestricted authorization to work in the US
  • Willingness to travel up to 20% to visit customers in remote locations as needed.
  • Reside in New Mexico area
  • Proficiency in Word, Excel, Powerpoint
  • SROD proficiency is a plus
  • Proficiency on Salesforce
  • Relevant diploma or degree with preferred 10-15 years industry experience; field and production-related experience is an asset.
