The Sales Support Specialist develops and maintains marketing content to support firm growth. This role is responsible for the production and management of proposals, RFP responses and presentations, in addition to the administration of a proposal software platform. This person is also responsible for Microsoft Office templates and sales collateral for service lines and industry niches. The ideal candidate is a high-functioning MS Office user and writer; technical writing experience preferred.

This role requires strong attention to detail as well as exceptional written and verbal communication skills. The Sales Support Specialist also works closely with Business Development.

Primary Responsibilities

  1. Responsible for the process of creating proposals, RFP responses and presentations, often under tight deadlines.
  2. Maintains content of templates for above-mentioned deliverables and sales collateral for all service lines, working with subject matter experts.
  3. Performs timely and effective quality control (proofreading, formatting, etc.) of said deliverables and content.
  4. Ensures SharePoint library of proposals, RFP responses, sales collateral, content and templates are kept current as messaging evolves.
  5. Ensures new Proposify proposal platform is effectively implemented and included resources are up-to-date.
  6. Performs client research in Salesforce for proposal and BD purposes.
  7. Performs quality control of bios as necessary.Ā 

Requirements

  1. 8+ years of experience in marketing and/or professional services.
  2. Experience drafting proposals and other marketing materials; experience with Proposify is a plus.
  3. Must be highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  4. Highly efficient, detail-oriented, resourceful, and organized.Ā 
  5. Excellent proofreader.
  6. Able to juggle competing priorities simultaneously.
  7. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  8. Ability to work effectively across departments and with remote resources.
  9. Proficiency in InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator is a plus.
