Job Summary
The Aerospace Corporation is seeking an SAP ABAP Developer experienced in SAP ECC and S/4 HANA ABAP development with enterprise-wide business process analysis and design.
The HR and Payroll Systems group is part of Aerospace's IT organization, Enterprise Information Services (EIS). Its primary responsibility is to develop and maintain the systems that support People Operations and Payroll business functions. The role will be to develop production support solutions in SAP for time and time evaluation as well as integrate with the HR information in Workday and the Payroll information in ADP. Additionally assist where necessary for the transition project to SAP S/4 HANA.
The ideal candidate must have SAP Time and Payroll experience paired with strong analytical and communication skills and multiple ERP implementations. Experience with SAP S/4 HANA, SAP Time, Workday or ADP will be differentiating factors.
Work Model
This role can be performed remotely or at one of our Aerospace locations, across the US.
What You'll Be Doing
  • Eliciting, analyzing, and clarifying business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria in support of People Operations and Payroll.
  • Estimating, planning, and delivering work as a member of an agile development team.
  • Incorporating frequent feedback from customers and stakeholders into solutions during development.
  • Designing, developing, testing, and demonstrating SAP ABAP programs/technical solutions including enhancements, interfaces, reports, forms, conversions, and workflows.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving technical and functional business systems issues.
  • Participating in test planning and execution, deployment, and maintenance of the developed solutions.
  • Producing high quality written deliverables including design documents, data models, workflow/data flow diagrams, test scenarios/scripts, and production cutover steps.

What You Need to be Successful
Minimum Requirements:
SAP Solutions Developer Staff Level II:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Four or more years hands-on SAP ECC ABAP development experience including object-oriented programs
  • Working knowledge of SAP user exits and enhancements
  • Experience with HR mini master, time entry, time evaluation, payroll and integration with third party payroll such as ADP
  • Experience in eliciting, analyzing, and challenging business solution requirements/user stories
  • Demonstrated skills in design and documentation of functional/technical solutions with well-defined test plans
  • Comfortable presenting regular solution demonstrations to product owners, business users, and agile team to solicit feedback
  • Excellence in communication (Email, design documents, audience aware solution explanations)
  • Willing to travel domestically as needed, approximately 5%
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.

SAP Solutions Developer Staff Level III:
  • Above plus
  • Six or more years hands-on SAP ECC ABAP development experience including object-oriented programs

How You Can Stand Out
It would be impressive if you have one or more of these:
  • Proficiency with tools to improve SAP user experience (e.g., Fiori, SAP Personas, SAPUI5, Java Script)
  • Experience with webservices, APIs, SOAP protocol, ODATA protocol, browser development tools
  • Direct experience participating on Agile/Scrum system development teams
  • Experience integrating with other ERP systems (e.g., HANA, Workday, Oracle, etc.)

We offer a competitive compensation package where you'll be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring to our business. The grade-based pay range for this job is listed below. Individual salaries within that range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge and skills.

$85,546 - $112,773 - $140,000
