Job Description
Position Overview:
The school nurse will assess and provide care to acutely sick or injured students and treat and manage the care of students with chronic health issues. The nurse will communicate with faculty and staff to ensure our students’ and community’s safety and well-being while protecting and promoting student health.
The primary location will be full-time at the Episcopal School of Jacksonville, St. Mark’s Campus.
Qualifications:.
Registered nurse (RN) certification required.
Current nursing license required.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Responsible for the professional, medical treatment of students.
Responsible for disease prevention.
Maintains clinical records.
Provides emergency aid to students and school staff.
Administrative Assistant Duties/Responsibilities:
Answering phones, taking messages, and directing calls appropriately.
Calling students up to the office who are leaving for appointments or the rest of the day.
Assisting faculty and staff with administrative support.
Support for initiatives throughout the school year.
