You will work onsite in our Holly Springs, NC location and will report to the Senior Scientist. You will be a Scientist I to help develop and execute cell-based analytical assays for potency testing of sa-mRNA drug products, ensuring compliance with current FDA, USP, and industry standards. You will work with the analytical development team, and with process development and quality control teams, to conduct essential studies that support biopharmaceutical product development. Responsibilities

• Develop and perform cell-based potency assays for drug products.
• Conduct routine sample testing to support product and process development.
• Document laboratory activities in electronic notebooks and business systems.
• Monitor and report method performance, preparing data and trend analyses as needed.
• Author and update SOPs and reports on method development and assay performance.
• Review and verify electronic notebook entries, reports, and data in LIMS.
• Support investigations related to products, processes, and testing.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to team members, interns, and students.
• Present findings in internal meetings; may contribute to external presentations.
• Collaborate across teams on complex projects, serving as a technical resource.
• Identify and pursue continuous improvement opportunities and best practices.
• Stay informed on new technologies and scientific advancements.

Required Qualifications

• Experience developing cell-based assays.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-based setting.
• Master's Degree or Ph.D. in cell and molecular biology, genetics, biochemistry, or a related scientific discipline.
• 4+ years of industry experience with an MS degree or 1-3 years with a Ph.D.
• At least one year of experience in developing cell-based assays in an industry setting.
• Previous industry experience within a biopharmaceutical analytical development team.
• Hands-on experience developing flow cytometry-based assays.
