This Scientist/Senior Scientist will be responsible for bioanalytical assay development and biological sample analysis to support our protein-based immunotherapeutic platforms from discovery through clinical development. The successful candidate will have extensive knowledge of and a proven track record in supporting pharmacokinetic, immunogenicity and biomarker studies. This individual will also be involved in the identification and implementation of new technologies and strategies to streamline workflows.

 

Duties and responsibilities

• Design, develop, qualify, and implement ligand binding assays independently with minimal supervision for PK, TK, ADA and PD support in various species and biological matrices.

• Focus on implementation and outsourcing of clinical biomarker assays (ligand binding assays) to measure soluble ligands and receptors.

• Develop and implement sample preparation strategies to remove, separate, or enrich drug, ADA, or soluble counter-structures from biological matrices.

• Resolve bioanalytical issues and assist junior colleagues in troubleshooting.

• Play an important role in maintaining critical reagent inventory, and authoring assay methods and work instructions.

• Analyze, summarize, and present data in group meetings and contribute to scientific discussions.

• Interact with multidisciplinary teams to meet project goals and timelines.

• Maintain a clear, detailed electronic laboratory notebook to document all experiments and findings.

 

Qualifications

• BS or MS degree in Bioanalytical Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biology or related discipline with a minimum of seven years relevant research/industry experience.

• Demonstrated experience in development of bioanalytical assays and interpretation of data is required.

• Understanding and ability to implement FDA and EMA bioanalytical guidance in a GxP-like environment.

• Experience in oversight of assay development or transfer as well as validation at multiple CROs is a plus.

• Strong problem solver who is highly organized with the ability to multitask and thrive in an environment with rapidly changing priorities.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with an ability to collaborate and successfully operate within a high functioning team.

• Proficient with MS Word, MS PowerPoint, and data analysis software (e.g., MS Excel, SoftMax Pro, GraphPad Prism, and/or Discovery Workbench).

• Experience with electronic notebooks and LIMS is desired.

This position is a professional level position with a compensation range of $105,000 to $130,000 for a Scientist and $125,000 to $150,000 for a Senior Scientist. In order to be considered for a position, candidates must be located in one of the following five states: CA, MA, NC, OR, or WA.
