ABOUT THE ROLE Location:Chicago store Status:Full Time Compensation:$30.00-$32.00/hr Position Summary: The Kith Security & Facilities Lead acts in partnership with the General Manager and Security & Facilities Manager on overall security and facilities responsibilities. They are imperative in the daily functions of the store’s retail and food & beverage operations. The individual is professional, aware, and detailed oriented within the retail space. Ensuring the safety of store staff and customers through diligent monitoring of the sales floor and entrance(s). They help ensure the store stays compliant with occupancy regulations by monitoring the store’s traffic and managing any lines formed outside the store. The Security & Facilities Lead will establish and maintain a strong familiarity of all store facilities and maintenance, by conducting routine check-ins and reviews as directed by the General Manager, Security & Facilities Manager, or any other Management appointed by the brand. Following the direction of the General Manager, they will act as the brand representative during any store repairs or renovations. In the absences of the General Manager or Security & Facilities Manager, the Lead will act as the on-sight liaison for all maintenance issues and remain the point of contact for HQ partners and third-party vendors. Primary Responsibilities: Security: • Monitor entrance(s) of store, while managing traffic in and out of the store • Check employee coats and bags upon entry & exit. • Handles undesired conduct, violations of building policy and civil laws as warranted for the security and safety of guests, employees, patrons, and property. • Observe sales floor for potential theft and fraud. • Manager and store Leadership team, regarding any security and/or facilities matters. • Perform other duties as assigned. • Manages any lines/crowds that form outside of the store, while monitoring overall store occupancy. • Provide support to both guests and team members in any safety, crowd management or crisis response situations. • Ensure the store is compliant with any building/city/state or federal ordinance regarding crowds inside and outside of the • store. Facilities: • Helps maintain and manage all vendor relations (Cleaners, HVAC & Plumbing companies, etc.), in partnership with the General Manager and Security & Facilities Manager • Conducts routine check-ups on all store retail and food & beverage equipment. • Performs or schedules preventative and/or responsive maintenance and repairs for all store equipment and overall facilities, as directed by General Manager or other brand appointed leadership. • Acts as the point of contact and brand representative during any store repairs or renovations, in the absence of the General Manager or Security & Facilities Manager, while communicating all findings to appropriate HQ business partners. Special Projects/Tasks: • Assist in the execution of any in-store product releases, by managing and monitoring of crowds/lines formed prior and during regular store operating hours. • Follow the direction of the General Manager, Security & Facilities Manager, or any other Store Leadership, during all emergency situations. REQUIREMENTS Availability: • Open & flexible availability, including but not limited to evenings, overnights, and weekends as well as Holidays. • Availability to consistently work weekends, special projects, drops/releases or as the business’ needs require. License(s)/Certificate(s): • Valid Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC) Experience: • 2-3 years as Security • 2-3 years in Loss Prevention • 1-3 year(s) in a customer facing environment • 1+ year(s) in a Retail/Apparel environment • 1+ year(s) in repair/maintenance vendor management Skills/Abilities: • Effective communication with both internal and external customers • Crowd management • Ability to de-escalate conflicts • Ability to lift and move 30 lbs. • Ability to perform standard tasks that are related to retail operations including but not limited to, bending, twisting, and climbing ladders/step stools. • Ability to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
