Job Description

The role of security is to ensure the safety of the community, property, and assess by patrolling, monitoring, and responding to incidents. Security deters potential threats, enforces rules, and acts as the first responder to emergencies. SCHEDULE:Sunday through Wednesday, 8:00AM to 2:00PM. EDUCATION:High School Diploma preferred. LANGUAGE SKILLS: Security must be able to write routine reports and correspondence. They must be able to document information clearly. Security must be able to speak effectively before clients or employees. REASONING ABILITY: Security must be able to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. They must be able interpret a variety of instructions that are furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: • Possess skilled analytics and problem solving skills. • Present emotional intelligence and positive energy. • Eager to learn new skills as needed to perform job functions. • Willingness to cross-train with other departments and team members. • Prioritize work, be detailed-oriented, and meet deadlines. • Perform in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks simultaneously. • Function as an integral part of a team with minimal supervision. • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be required for periods of time to stand, walk, and sit. Position may involve the use of hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance, stoop, kneel bend, crouch, or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell. Employee may occasionally lift and/or move up to 10-plus pounds. The repetitive motion of the upper body is required for extended use of the computer. Position may involve manual dexterity in using a keyboard, mouse, and other office equipment. Security requires specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: Within the first thirty days of hire, employee is required to obtain CPR Certification, complete in-person training forNonviolent Crisis Intervention (CPI)training, and complete in-person training forAbuse, Neglect, and Exploitation.
