What We'll Bring:
We are looking for a Record to Report -Sr. Accountant in our Global Finance Shared Services (GFSS) Center in TransUnion's Global Capability Center based out of Pune, India to provide support to Record to report Team in partnership with the Global Process Leader for Record to Report and the GFSS site leader for Pune.

What You'll Bring:

Key accountabilities include:
&bull This role will ensure that the GFSS Record to Report team in Pune delivers on the following key responsibilities:
o Month-end and quarter-end close process and other requirements set forth by the segment accounting teams while delivering on service level commitments for timeliness and quality

o Provide well documented and approved journal entries in accordance with the month end close check list
o Preparation of timely and accurate account reconciliation in accordance with TU's policy
o Preparation of audit support for the US GAAP and Statutory audits
o Preparation of supporting documentation for tax filings
&bull Performance Reporting & Business Intelligence: Establish and maintain robust reporting mechanisms to monitor and communicate process performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), and dashboards using BI / Tableau Platform
&bull Business Partnering and Collaboration with Stakeholders : Collaborate closely with the global process leader for record to report and the segment controllers and their teams to ensure clear understanding of expectations of the GFSS team and the GFSS team's execution of their work
&bull Risk Assessment and Management: Identify and assess financial risks and opportunities, develop strategies to mitigate risks, and provide recommendations for optimizing financial outcomes.
&bull Support team members with issues and escalations
&bull Responsible to explain process instructions to others
&bull Ensure proper training to other team members including creation of backup plan to ensure deliverables
&bull Ensure appropriate controls are in place and are being executed
&bull Implement initiatives to drive continuous improvement
&bull Identify any anomaly, deviation or exception and resolve
&bull Maintain daily reports on operational performance for team and provide to Record to Report Manager
&bull Reviews work of team members for quality and process standards
&bull Assists others in resolving the issues/queries
&bull Supplies performance input on team members to Record to Report Manager
&bull Supports other projects and ad hoc assignments as required by Record to Report Managers and/or GFSS Site Leader

&bull Experience with financial systems like Oracle (PeopleSoft),
&bull Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
&bull Strong interpersonal and communication skills
&bull Ability to compare data from a variety of sources for accuracy and completeness
&bull Possess high attention to details
&bull Ability to determine work priorities to meet schedules and deadlines of the work
&bull Ability to make decisions and take appropriate actions in day-to- day responsibilities
&bull Possess leadership skills to motivate and guide team
&bull Ability to perform resource planning and utilization in consultation with the Manager

This is a hybrid position and involves regular performance of job responsibilities virtually as well as in-person at an assigned TU office location for a minimum of two days a week.
