Senior Accountant Tax

Job Details:

SUMMARY:
This position is primarily responsible for assisting with the preparation of federal, state and local payroll tax returns and payments. The individual will have the ability of developing procedures used for daily activities and provide guidance to others as needed. Other responsibilities include: monthly G/L account reconciliations, research and resolve tax notices, assisting with payroll related audits, assist Sr. Tax Manager with review and various other tax or credit and incentive related activities.

REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in accounting or equivalent in an academic field directly related and essential to this position.

Experience: 2 plus years of experience in tax or other related areas. Payroll Tax experience is a plus.

Computer Skills: Basic computer skills with strong Excel aptitude; ability to efficiently learn and work with income tax preparation software SAP and Word; perform technical research using CCH BNA RIA or other tax research tools a plus.

Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Supervisory: None

Travel: 0 to 3 domestic trips per year.

Specific Position Requirements: It is preferred for this position to have the ability to multitask, be detail oriented and possess good interpersonal skills.
