You, our Senior Accountant, are a detail-driven, strategic thinker with a passion for financial integrity and operational excellence. As a vital member of our accounting team, you will work closely with our Controller to oversee and manage all aspects of our financial operations. From ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance, to developing forecasting models and optimizing internal controls, you will help shape the financial health and growth strategy of our dynamic company. Job Responsibilities: • Work with our purchasing manager on inventory and purchase order related issues • Analyze, interpret and reconcile daily posting of inventory, WIP and labor, and reclass when needed. • Process weekly inventory adjustments and cross-check data with our engineering team and purchasing manager to ensure posting of accurate costs. • Oversee reconciliation of bank, credit card, petty cash, and other balance sheet accounts monthly as a part of month-end closure, and prepare and post journal entries • Assist with inventory audit to confirm that Shop Floor is complying with the company’s guidelines. • Manage vendor inquiries and effectively communicate with vendors and internally with the staff to resolve issues. • Update, reconcile and post accruals, prepaid expenses, fixed assets and loan schedules • Create cashflow report and forecast • Post intercompany transactions as they occur and reconcile i/c accounts monthly • Help with running the payroll and journalize numbers including salaries, taxes and benefits • Send out monthly invoices to tenants and follow up on accounts receivable open invoices, including collections. • Add/drop employees to/from health, dental and vision insurance policies and reconcile benefits invoices to related GL accounts utilizing deduction rates and billing details from invoices. • Reconcile 401k for yearly audit and complete pertinent questionnaire. • Support Controller through ownership of core accounting functions while gaining exposure to cost accounting, systems, and cross-departmental initiatives. • Other duties as assigned Required Experience/Skills • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field • 5 years accounting experience • Highest standards of accuracy, problem-solving and mindfulness of deadlines • Advanced skills in Word and Excel including PivotTable, VLOOKUP, SUMIF • Experience in month-end close including reconciliation, prepaids, fixed assets • GAAP/IFRS experience required • Experience in ERP environment required • Manufacturing experience is a plus • All candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. • This is an on site, in person position.
