Senior Security Engineer - IAM
The Senior Security Engineer - IAM Okta will assist in the design, implementation, and transition to operations of security solutions to protect our data and assets from cyber threats. This is accomplished through cross-functional planning, requirements gathering, and agile delivery. Working closely with Architecture, Security Operations, Technology Operations, Software Engineering, and the business, this role will drive adherence to technology and security standards, identify and solve for risks, provide security consulting, and evangelize secure technology solutions.
What you'll do
- Lead large-scale security technology implementation efforts in accordance with requirements, standards, and compliance obligations on-time and in-budget
- Participate on cross-functional agile planning and delivery teams, attending daily standups, retrospectives, and sprint planning exercises
- Create and update supporting documentation for security solutions
- Assist and make architectural recommendations in the design of technology and security solutions
- Consult and recommend security solutions and strategies to address business and technology needs/gaps
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure adequate security processes and tools are in place throughout technology stacks to mitigated identified risks to an acceptable level
- Support the Security Operations team with incident response, as needed upon escalation
- Assist with the implementation and remediation of security audit findings
- Stay abreast of security landscape and best practices via publications and news sources
What we're looking for
- 5 or more years of experience supporting, deploying, and analyzing technology solutions or cyber security systems
- Senior-level knowledge of best practices and experience with cyber security tools and systems (network security, endpoint security, application security)
- A willingness to serve as a senior member of the team and to provide guidance, coaching, and upskilling other teammates
- Proven hands-on experience with Oauth Identity Management providers, Okta is strongly preferred
