Senior Application Support Engineer (Infrastructure & Cloud)

Responsibilities

• Maintain maximum system uptime, swiftly responding to incidents and service requests
• Proactively manage and uphold governance best practices for Global Research Applications
• Support system integrations, bug fixes, patches and configuration changes while conducting post-release checks
• Document processes, provide cross-training and mentor team members to enhance team capabilities
• Act as the bridge between Business, Technology and Functional teams to ensure seamless connectivity and platform evolution
• Drive effective issue resolution, release management and provide project updates to stakeholders
• Implement automation solutions to improve efficiency and strengthen operational frameworks
• Lead de-risking initiatives and uphold IT governance standards

• Shell Scripting - Hands-on experience in automating system tasks and optimizing processes
• SQL - Strong ability to query, manipulate, and manage databases
• Linux - In-depth knowledge of Linux environments, including troubleshooting and performance optimization
• Kubernetes/Containerization - Expertise in managing containerized applications for scalability and efficiency
• Databricks/Snowflake/Cloud - Practical experience with cloud-based platforms, big data processing and distributed computing
