Senior Azure Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Azure Engineer to join EPAM and support our client from the financial services area in their office in Zurich.
The ideal candidate will play a major role working on the infrastructure which will be used across all client's offices. Your technical expertise, combined with your initiative and team spirit will enable you to work collaboratively and agilely to facilitate the adoption of cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate data platform solutions on Azure
• Work closely with technical experts, architects and business teams to align technical solutions with functional requirements and strategic initiatives
• Monitor and operate the company's data platform to ensure high availability and optimal performance in compliance with corporate governance principles
• Ensure compliance with and implementation of the data platform's security and data protection practices
• Promote the adoption of data analytics, artificial intelligence and the cloud
• Assess, integrate and document the use of Microsoft container services
• Make Continuous Improvement of established robust Kubernetes platform and compute to support new development, application refactoring and security hardening
• Assess vulnerability

Requirements

• Expertise in Azure fundamentals, including core services, concepts and tools
• Familiarity with Azure Policy and Governance, including RBAC management and Custom Azure Policy Development
• Experienced with DevOps, integrating Azure services and tools and knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools and frameworks, such as ARM templates, Bicep or Terraform
• Familiarity with security best practices, risk management, regulatory requirements and Azure security and compliance tools
• Proficient communication skills in English are a must, while knowledge of the German language is a significant advantage

• Experience with DevOps and CI/CD practices
