Our Tech stack

• On the backend, we mostly use Go, Postgres and Redis. 
• On the frontend, we use React, Typescript, and Node JS.
• Our infrastructure runs on GCP, and we are heavy users of Kubernetes. 
• Our architecture is a distributed architecture with several “Modular Monoliths”. 
• We practice DevOps, Continuous Engineering, Domain Driven Design and Contract Driven Development.

Your Role and Impact 

As a member of HousingAnywhere, you will play a critical role in shaping the future of the rental housing market. We are looking for engineers to join the Business Operations and Search & Discovery teams. Our people are driven by a commitment to innovation, collaboration, customer-centricity, transparency, and ownership and our cross-functional teams consist of an engineering manager, a product manager, a UX designer, as well as frontend and backend engineers. 

• In your daily role, you will focus on developing and maintaining features using the Go programming language, working with product managers to ensure scalability, observability, and reusability.
• You will be responsible for drafting technical specifications and overseeing the end-to-end delivery of projects.
• Your role includes providing technical guidance and mentorship to team members, ensuring that all software meets our standards and aligns with project requirements.

Your profile:

• Over 5 years of software development experience building distributed systems
• Background focused in backend engineering with a strong product mindset.
• More than 2 years of Experience in Go
• Hands-on experience in designing and implementing API over HTTP, gRPC, etc.
• You have built simple distributed systems in the past and are willing to solve complex distributed problems.
• Experience in Infrastructure-related technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, Google Cloud Platform (AWS/Azure) is a strong advantage.
• Experience in leading projects and managing other engineers is a valuable bonus.
• A basic understanding of the Frontend stack is advantageous.
• Experience in the payments domain is highly desirable
