Position: Senior Business Intelligence Analyst (MS Excel)

Work Location: Hybrid, San Antonio, TX - JBSA Fort Sam Houston

Daily schedule: 40 hours per week, standard business hours

Expected Pay Rate: $50/hr to $70/hr, negotiable

Start: February 13th, 2023

Duration: Contract through September 27th, 2023, likely extension

Idea Entity, a Microsoft Gold Partner, is a global change management consulting firm committed to delivering customer outcomes that change the way business is done. We are looking for an experienced Senior Business Intelligence Analyst who will assume a key role on our team. This role will support the objectives of the DHA principles within Resource Management. The RM office has been tasked to provide enduring and adaptable internal business solutions in various areas within the DHA.

This role will be operating on a hybrid schedule with one to two (1-2) telework days a week on-site out of San Antonio, TX (Ft. Sam Houston). Due to the nature of this role, US Citizenship is required and is not eligible for sponsorship.

Responsibilities:

• Provides analysis of quantitative and qualitative data from internal and external data sources in support of business decisions.
• Uses standard or ad hoc queries or reports to extract data from disparate databases or data sources.
• Analyzes data to produce dashboards, metrics, or insights and identify trends or anomalies.
• Consults with users or decision makers to identify data sources, required data elements, or data validation standards.
• Collaborates with development teams to design business intelligence solutions to facilitate data gathering, storage, and retrieval.
• Performs work with a high degree of latitude. Handles the most complex issues.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven problem/situation analysis.
• Ability to identify and seek needed information and has proven research skills.
• Excellent analytical thinking skills and previous statistical knowledge.

Requirements

• 7-10+ years of experience is Microsoft Office Excel
• Must be able to interface with Microsoft .NET developers and web development protocols
• Must understand advanced level MS Excel tools and techniques to generate highly complex spreadsheets and templates
• Must have experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, SAS, QlikView, QlikSense, and PowerBI

Preferred Qualifications:

• Prior experience with DoD and experience with Electronic Health Records/Electronic Medical Records (EHR/EMR).
• Demonstrated ability to self-direct, prioritize, and manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Exceptional communicator with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Strong interpersonal skills with ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to solve challenging technical problems with innovative solutions.
• Customer service oriented and approachable.
