What You'll Bring to Parsyl
As a Senior Cargo Claims Adjuster, you will be responsible for supporting clients and delivering Parsyl's best in class customer journey. You will support clients from FNOL until settlement, as well as supporting recovery and subrogation efforts. While focused in the Insurance team, the role requires cross collaboration with other divisions including Finance, Operations, Data and Customer Success . As a senior resource within the Insurance team, you should have a strong leadership desire, committed to developing an industry leading team of experts. Strong candidates for this position are excellent communicators both verbally and in writing, extremely meticulous, process-oriented, and inquisitive. A customer-focused mindset is crucial.

What You'll Get to Work On
- Cargo and Logistics Claims:
- Deliver best in class service to customers from FNOL to file closure
- Investigate, adjust and settle cargo and logistics claims
- Lead and support recovery, subrogation and salvage operations
- Represent Parsyl in Broker and client engagement
- Lead claim management and be the principal contact for the life cycle of a claim
- Manage a network of TPA's, Surveyors and Lawyers
- Work closely with Customer Success and Data teams to identify developing claims trends
- Be a leader in Parsyl reducing Loss Ratios and mitigating traditional claims costs
- Deliver leadership and practice extreme ownership of claims processes
- Provide innovative insight working as part of wider technology focus to deliver new tools to handle claims more efficiently
- Manage other members of the claims team which could include internationally located team members.
- Supporting the growth of Parsyl:
- Be a constant advocate for claims management and innovate to delivery new and industry changing tools
- Support underwriters with continual education on losses, trends and risk mitigation
- Identify new process to continue to improve claims management
- Support the building of a dedicated claims team as part of Parsyl's growth to be the largest perishable insurer in the world
- Be a part of business development; Represent Parsyl in broker engagement, client meetings and industry events
- Public speaking engagement, delivering Parsyl's insights as industry education
- Analyzing, refining, and iterating on internal processes to make them more efficient and ensure accuracy
- Monthly reporting for internal and external audiences

What we're looking for:
- Minimum 8 years experience of handling cargo claims
- Experience of developing and managing broker relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; comfort with picking up the phone and calling stakeholders to get answers to questions
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Ability to quickly learn and problem solve with a passion for reducing operational inefficiencies and pain points
- Willingness to dig deep and ask questions to ensure a thorough understanding of complex risks
- Ability to work well with others in a supportive team environment
- Commitment to excellent customer service

Bonus if you have experience/background in:
- Claims experience from an early stage MGU or Insurtech
- Experience of handling Logistics or other marine claims
- Broking or risk management experience
- Fast-paced startup environments
- Leading industry discussions and presenting to internal and external stakeholders
- Spanish or French speaking
Benefits
Market competitive salary with an anticipated base compensation range of $90,000-$140,000. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate's experience, qualifications, and skills.
