TITLE:                            Senior Cloud Data Engineer

HOURS:                              Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

DUTIES:                            

Build and implement complex data solutions in the cloud such as AWS, GCP and/or Microsoft. Uncover and recommend remediation for data quality anomalies. Investigate, recommend and implement data ingestion and ETL performance improvements. Document data ingestion and ETL program designs, present findings, conduct peer code reviews. Develop and execute test plans to validate code.

Utilize cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform and its services for requirements of various clients to design, develop and deploy scalable, highly available and fault tolerant data management solutions.

Design and develop the migration of customer data and applications from on-premises to cloud or between cloud environments by adopting various cloud migration strategies. Perform POC’s on multiple Google Cloud Services to make optimal decisions. Job responsibilities span from analysis, design and development of complex Data Warehousing repositories and Business Intelligence solutions and lead projects, plan & monitor the development efforts.

Lead Data engineering team, project implementation, and help the team with hands-on technical expertise if required. Manage and mentor reporting employees.

REQUIREMENTS:   

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Technology, Computer Information Systems, Computer Applications, Engineering (any), or related.        

Six (6) years in any occupation in which engineering, data architecture, development or related experience was gained must include: Five (5) years of application development experience using SQL and google platforms. Experience must also include: Experience using cloud technologies; Informatica power center; Teradata; Unix; Oracle; Design and data modeling for the business data warehousing application; and Project lifecycle and Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC).

TELECOMMUTING EMPLOYEE: Reports to company headquarters in Chicago, IL. Can work remotely or telecommute up to 100%.
