Job Description
GCyber is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer to support a high visibility Executive Branch customer in the planning, development, execution, and maintenance of its cloud network and encryption solutions. We are seeking a talented individual with a strong background in Azure architecture and Ansible.
As a Senior Cloud Engineer, you will:
- Lead the implementation, operations, and sustainment of Azure cloud solutions, ensuring they meet industry best practices and comply with FedRAMP requirements.
- Migrate existing workloads to Azure environment.
- Manage Azure identities, governance, storage, compute, and virtual networks in a cloud environment, ensuring efficient configuration and management.
- Leverage Ansible for automated provisioning, configuration management, and deployment of Azure workloads.
- Create Ansible playbooks for automate installation and deployment of Azure resources.
- Monitor and optimize performance of EOP cloud solutions to ensure efficient operations.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure, hardware failures, network issues, and performance bottlenecks.
- Provide domain expertise to support the engineering, implementation, and sustainment of cloud solutions, encryption solutions, and supporting technology products in support of the organization’s cloud security objectives.
- Create and maintain architecture diagrams and documentation for all cloud solutions.
Minimum Qualifications and Experience:
- Active DoD TS/SCI Clearance
- DoD 8570 IAT III Certification or higher

- BA/BS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree)
- 10+ years of experience
- Experience using Ansible for automated provisioning, configuration management, and deployment of Azure workloads.
- Deep understanding of Azure cloud computing technologies & services with demonstrated hands-on experience in Azure Core IaaS: Compute, Storage, Networking, High Availability, Identity and Authentication: SSO/Federation, AD/Azure AD, ADFS, etc.
- Experience creating Ansible playbooks (YAML) for automated configuration of Azure resources.
- Proficiency in PowerShell and/or Azure CLI
- Strong background in IT infrastructure fundamentals, including networking, storage, and security.
- Knowledge of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, VLANs, and routing protocols
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
