The role of the Senior Cloud Security Architect provides advanced level specialized skills and knowledge, for any agnostic cloud hosted environment (IaaS, SaaS, PaaS), in the design framework and review of secure cloud networks, cloud hosted applications, cloud hosting systems, cloud infrastructure, and security systems; ensuring requirements are in line with Corporate Information Security policies and standards. The Senior Cloud Architect role will propose technical cloud architectures for security risks, provides specialized technical advice to support the design and development of secure architectures and identifies security controls to mitigate those risks. Develop strategies &r requirements, and serve as subject matter experts in the Information Security (InfoSec) organization. Identify cloud security weaknesses and improvements as well as helping the company applying higher security standards.
Nissan Americas is looking for a Cloud Security Architect to join our Information Security (InfoSec) regional team to lead the design & development of the cloud security architectures, policies, procedures, methods and tools in the various Nissan Americas cloud environments. The Cloud Security Architect will work with Engineering and Product Development teams to continuously improve the security posture of the services.
This position will be based out of Franklin, TN (Nashville Metropolitan area), but can be remote anywhere in the United States, depending on extensive experience level.

Nissan Americas is looking for a Cloud Security Architect to join our Information Security (InfoSec) regional team to lead the design & development of the cloud security architectures, policies, procedures, methods and tools in the various Nissan Americas cloud environments. The Cloud Security Architect will work with Engineering and Product Development teams to continuously improve the security posture of the services.

Responsibilities:
- Perform risk assessment of proposed and existing system architecture for compliance with security best practices, recommending technical, administrative and physical controls to mitigate identified risks
- Develop service security and compliance requirements for SaaS multi-tenant systems
- Design and develop cloud security architectures and perform architecture design reviews
- Design and develop frameworks and solutions to secure CI/CD pipelines
- Leading compliance efforts based on selected industry frameworks and compliance standards
- Provide security guidance to continuously improve existing industry best practices of operational security controls such as: Logging & Monitoring, Identity and access management, Encryption and Data security, Self-auditing
- Provide guidance to R&D and Product Management on defining and prioritizing development of secure SaaS offerings
- Prepare and deliver training and security awareness activities to the Business Units, and IS/IT Support teams.
- Acquire relevant knowledge, remain up to date, attend security conferences and be involved with the security community
- Drive and lead security processes, tools, methods, and knowledge and security enhancements
Specialized Knowledge
- Past experience in developing secure, scalable cloud architectures and distributed systems.
- Working knowledge NIST, ISO, FIPS, GDPR, CMMC, DFARS, PCI-DSS, CCPA, NYDFS
- Infrastructure security, security SDLC and secure SaaS practices
- Risk assessment and management, and threat modeling
- Security reviews for code/design/architecture and requirements
- Hardening procedures
- Network administration and security
- Identity management and authentication systems and protocols (Active Directory, LDAP, SAML, RADIUS)
- Linux/Unix and Windows OS
- Network architecture and security configurations
- Scripting & programming languages (such as Terraform, Python, Ruby, etc.)
- Think like an attacker
- Strong understanding of Information Security in various environments
- Demonstrated ability to assume sole and independent responsibilities
- Ability to keep track of numerous detail-intensive, interdependent tasks and ensure their accurate completion
Qualifications:
- Bachelor-level university degree in a relevant field from an accredited university with equivalent experience.
- 7-10 years of experience working in information technology, with at least 5 of those with hands on experience in the Information Security field working in a SOC, NOC, on an incident response team, a threat team, or in network security.
- Preferred certifications, including CISSP, EnCE, GCFA, GCFE, GREM, GCIA, GCIH, OSCP
- Thought Leadership, organization, multitasking, and report writing skills.
