In this role, you have the opportunity to drive value creation on our Premium Shaving portfolio globally, through 1) Formulating the upstream innovation & product strategy, including roadmaps, owns new business models development. Portfolio health and strategy. 2) Market and market share growth working closely with regions.

To achieve that, 1) live and breath category consumer, shopper insights & trends delivering winning proposition, portfolio and marketing toolkits 2) Collect and analyze market information and defines existing market target groups. 3) Formulate the specification of new products based on available technology, components and existing market situation in order to have new products available on short term. Translate a general product plan into clear detailed product specifications for development. Guide the project team in the execution phase of the PDLM. 4) Drive the market.


Your role:

As Senior Consumer Marketing Manager you will be responsible for the signature range of Philips Shaving. You will help to deliver new innovations, align portfolio and range build up, communication, activation, promo strategy and claim roadmap, and manage current portfolio in market to deliver top and bottom line targets (including SKU rationalization, phase in phase out). If portfolio gap identifies, you will drive the definition, development and introduction of new value propositions in respective price tier. You will translate in-depth market-, consumer-, shopper insights, as well as competitive analyses into winning concepts by defining product positioning. You will identify and optimize the winning concepts, to integrate them into strategic product roadmaps, and develop and bring the concept from idea to market.

Drive upstream marketing activities for the given product range / solutions, including definition of the strategy and its

enablers as well as its alignment with key markets globally:

  • Value proposition (product, service, solutions), mid-life update development based on customer insights,

  • Drive development of new business model propositions and go to market,

  • Communication strategy, 360 comms toolkit development,

  • Claims roadmaps,

  • Business Case,

  • Pricing & promo and go-to-market strategy and guidelines,

  • Portfolio strategy, including key retailers,

  • Channel Strategy for assigned product portfolio.

• Steer the related product development (PDLM) process from start to end, taking initial ideas through to product development and market introduction.
• Interact with various disciplines including Innovation, Technology & Development, Consumer Insight departments and internal and external Design agencies, manufacturing units or external suppliers, marketing management, marketing communication and international sales organizations.
• Help to extend the lifecycle of existing products by contributing with your marketing views and passion for the consumer.
• Interact on a regular basis with our marketing teams in key markets and ensure a successful product launch that fits with the local market needs.
You're the right fit if:

  • >7 years of upstream and downstream product, innovation, commercial and marketing experience in global branded FMCG or durable consumer goods including new product introductions and life cycle management in a global or regional context. You have gained your experience from a similar global position driving marketing and innovation plans across markets.

  • Experience with new product development and new product introductions.

  • Experience of consumer market research and market intelligence.

  • Understanding of retail market dynamics, having dealt with product promotions, trade marketing, shopper marketing activations, product launches and/or marketing communications to drive business results and growth.

  • Knowledge and ability to apply value based pricing to optimize and manage a portfolio of products.

  • Demonstrated that you can think conceptually from a broad business perspective taking both strategic as well as operational aspects into consideration. You can steer and guide our local country organizations in executing business plans.

  • Excellent analytic and communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders both externally and internally.

  • International mindset and the ability to talk efficiently to different people in different countries.

  • Fluent English; other European languages are a plus.
