The Apartments.com analytics and reporting team is looking for a self-starter Senior Data Analyst. At a high level, the role will provide quantitative support, business understanding, and strategic insight to leaders throughout the business.

Strong candidates will exhibit the desire and willingness to create and deliver abstract solutions to overcome challenges and possess the technical knowledge needed to synthesis different data sources into comprehensive datasets and analyses.

Essential Team Functions:

  • Partner across departments to identify key information gaps and plans to provide or obtain that information

  • Build analyses and reporting for departments to increase efficiency and visibility across the business, including:

  • Creating datasets in SQL from existing company applications
  • Writing SQL stored procedures, jobs and/or ETL scripts
  • Creating dashboards for internal stakeholders to measure KPIs

  • Perform predictive analysis using both newly created and existing datasets to identify process improvement opportunities and/or trends to determine effectiveness

  • Perform ad hoc analyses at request of senior leadership

Experience, Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelors Degree - completed
  • 3+ years of data analytics experience with experience, including:

  • Strong SQL experience including creation of tables, stored procedures and jobs
  • Analytical programming experience including predictive analytics and forecasting

  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to analyze data, interpret information and trends in large amounts of data to develop actionable recommendations
  • Ability to work on multiple projects and deliverables simultaneously and quickly adapt as business needs and objectives change
  • Ability to work both as an individual and within a team to resolve issues, create new approaches to analyzing data, and drive decisions and consensus within the business

Technical Skills:

  • Programming languages: SQL, R, Python, JavaScript, other
  • Data visualization: PowerBI, Tableau
