Humana is seeking a Senior Business Systems Data Analysis Professional who will perform analysis of business, data, process and user needs, documentation of requirements, and translation into proper system requirement specifications.

Responsibilities

The Senior Business Systems Data Analysis Professional formulates and defines systems and objectives based on both user needs and a good understanding of applicable business systems and industry requirements. Devises or modifies procedures and processes to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and form of desired results. Validates benefits achieved from solution implementation. Begins to influence department's strategy. Makes decisions on moderately complex to complex issues regarding technical approach for project components, and work is performed without direction. Exercises considerable latitude in determining objectives and approaches to assignments.

  • Uses data analysis tools (T-SQL, PL-SQL, TOAD, Power-BI) to analyze moderately complex to highly complex data in determining rules for data translation and data integration
  • Partner with Retail Sales Leaders, operations teams, subject matter experts, training, and IT Teams to develop and deploy continuous improvement initiatives across the organization
  • Cultivate relationships with multiple internal Business and IT development partners using agile methodology (i.e. user stories, backlog prioritization, Azure Dev Ops)
  • Initiate and facilitate meetings to identify, document, and prioritize business technology needs that align with department deliverables and organizational goals
  • Champion the customer by accurately representing their prioritized needs in the requirements, development, and testing phases of each project
  • Implement Change Management processes as needed to maintain accurate requirements dependencies and documentation

Required Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of data analysis/customer need assessment
  • Working knowledge of ad-hoc query tools and data repositories that support data extraction and manipulation (T-SQL, PL-SQL, TOAD, and/or Power-BI)
  • Knowledge of Systems Development Life Cycle
  • Experience in problem analysis and process improvement
  • Comprehensive knowledge of all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Visio
  • Must be passionate about contributing to an organization focused on continuously improving consumer experiences

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's, MBA or other Advanced Degree
  • Six Sigma certification
  • Agile, SAFe, or Scrum Certification
  • Demonstrated experience with process documentation and re-engineering
  • Experience with cloud data platforms
  • Ideal candidate will live w/in 50 miles of Louisville KY

Additional Information

  • Some nights or weekends may be required to support production turn activities.

To ensure Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates' ability to work effectively, the self-provided internet service of Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates must meet the following criteria:

  • At minimum, a download speed of 25 Mbps and an upload speed of 10 Mbps is recommended; wireless, wired cable or DSL connection is suggested
  • Satellite, cellular and microwave connection can be used only if approved by leadership
  • Associates who live and work from Home in the state of California, Illinois, Montana, or South Dakota will be provided a bi-weekly payment for their internet expense.
  • Humana will provide Home or Hybrid Home/Office associates with telephone equipment appropriate to meet the business requirements for their position/job.
  • Work from a dedicated space lacking ongoing interruptions to protect member PHI / HIPAA information
