We are currently recruiting a Senior Data Architect to join our Advanced Analytics department in Richmond, VA. or we are open to remote work arrangements.

The Senior Data Architect will be responsible for designing and implementing robust, scalable, and efficient data architectures and platforms that support our organization's data-driven initiatives. This role requires a strong blend of technical expertise, strategic thinking, and communication skills to drive the architecture of our data ecosystem while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

What you'll be doing: • Develop an overarching data architecture strategy that aligns with business goals and supports data integration, storage, processing, and analytics.• Participate in designing data models, schemas, and structures that optimize data accessibility, availability, and performance.• Help create and enforce data governance policies, ensuring data quality, security, and compliance with relevant regulations.• Design and lead the development of scalable, reliable, and flexible data platforms that accommodate current and future business needs.• Evaluate and select appropriate technologies, tools, and frameworks to build a cohesive and efficient platform ecosystem.• Collaborate with infrastructure and operations teams to ensure the platforms meet performance, security, and scalability requirements.• Leverage cloud-based solutions to architect data platforms that take advantage of scalability and cost-effectiveness.• Collaborate with business partners, product owners, and cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into effective data and platform solutions.• Communicate architecture decisions, recommendations, and progress to technical and non-technical audiences.

What we want you to have:• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.• Proven experience of 5+ years in data architecture, platform design, and implementation.• Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts.• Strong proficiency in cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and related services.• Hands-on experience with ETL tools, data integration, and data pipeline design.• Familiarity with data governance, security, and compliance best practices.• Proficiency in programming languages like Python, Java, or Scala.• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to analyze complex technical challenges.• Effective communication skills to collaborate with both technical and non-technical partners.• Experience with big data technologies (Hadoop, Spark, etc.) is a plus.• Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Data Analytics, Google Cloud Professional Data Engineer) are advantageous.• Limited domestic travel required
