The Global Technology Enablement (GTE), Performance & Platform Management team provides solutions and services that enable partners with the platforms, data, and analytic tools to make better-informed and timely business and strategic decisions.
We are seeking a dynamic and energetic associate with a strong data warehouse architecture background to help drive our vision/strategy. In this role, the individual will focus on architecture warehousing solutions that will provide partners with the data they require to manage and communicate the success of their services. The role will apply technical knowledge, with proven business knowledge, communication, coaching, partnership, and problem-solving skills to ensure the Performance & Platform Management team is delivering the capabilities to achieve the highest levels of data, insights, and analytics to the organization.
Key Responsibilities:

• Provide technology and data strategy / architectural design support and leadership.
• Key contributor to the design, prototyping, and development of high-performance, scalable, and maintainable data structures.
• Act in a key role contributing to the redesign of the Data Warehouse modernization initiative, including the end-to-end redesign of the new eco-system and associated utilities with Azure Cloud.
• Partner with internal and external clients and provide creative leadership and innovative thinking to translate business needs into workable systems.
• Key contributor to the definition of formal standards, policies, and processes regarding data architecture and data governance.
• Key contributor to the development of reusable frameworks and scalable approaches for evolving data architecture and integration needs.
• Measurably impact company performance by delivering high-quality, scalable data products
• Collaborate across a matrix team of developers, database engineers, ETL, testing, data modelers, DBAs, and production support.
• Maintain and monitor database performance (and metrics) and proactively implement efficiency solutions.
• Monitor industry best practices and emerging software technologies to evolve and grow service.
• Be a leading advocate for a One MetLife culture creating a solid GTO Data Strategy presence by promotion & governance of core foundational principals.
• Lead incremental and transformative change to deliver substantial performance enhancements and actively seek opportunities to share best practices across the organization.
• Resourceful and creative -- must bring fresh out-of-the-box insights to a dynamic business environment to address critical issues, develop creative solutions, and deliver measurable value.

Essential Business Experience and Technical Skills:
Required:

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Information Systems, or 2+ years of data architecture development experience.
• Experience in API design/ development.
• Proven leadership experience in distributed data solution architecture and engineering.
• Advanced data techniques including modeling, data accessibility, integration, and design.
• Demonstrated success in driving architectural projects from inception to implementation.
• Provide instruction support in the principles of software development and data design.
• Advocate the strategy relating to the overall structure and associated hierarchies of the Data Warehouse schema.
