  • Develop and maintain relational databases for data storage and mining.
  • Design and test moderately complex data warehouses.
  • Design, code, test, debug and maintain software packages and database views.
  • Create and maintain ETL processes.
  • Formulate and define scope for data integration and analytics projects.
  • Source data into different layers of tables using Python based framework.
  • Translate business/SLA requirements into technical specifications and accordingly help design data platform solutions.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is created for all systems.
  • Implement monitoring and logging solutions for proactive insight into system issues.
  • Test and analyze data warehouse performance and security.
  • Write scripts to read and write files generated by upstream application.
  • Develop and maintain compliance policies, security controls, SOX procedure and change management controls.
  • Create detailed technical specifications.
  • Provide off hours support for data platform production issues.
  • Use technologies including UNIX, TOAD and Service Now.
  • Work with SQL, Oracle, MySQL, and RDMS databases.
  • Work closely with data engineering team and address needs related to data systems, management and Cloud data platforms.
  • Use XSLT and XPath. Work within agile methodology.
  • Do application development using Python and SQL. Use Webservices, XPath, XQuery, XML Parsers, JSON, Hadoop and/or MarkLogic.
  • Must have good knowledge of Data Warehousing/ETL/BI solutions, and understanding of analytical, data driven approaches towards complex data solutions.
