Senior Data Engineer (Azure)

We are looking for a talented Senior Data Engineer.  In this role, you will work with time series data across various applications, providing valuable insights into energy pricing, consumption, and revenue for B2B and B2C customers. As part of our team, you will contribute to designing, maintaining, and optimizing our data pipelines and PostgreSQL Timescale database in an Azure environment. Your work will directly support the team’s mission of delivering high-quality, reliable, and actionable data.

Our client is a leading global media company seeking to enhance their digital presence. We are assisting them with technology-related initiatives, including optimizing their content management system (CMS). They currently use WordPress for one of their business segments, and we have a unique opportunity to be involved in this exciting work.

Requirements

• Strong experience in Python and SQL (at least 4 years of experience)
• Proficiency in Azure services (Databricks, Data Factory, PostgreSQL)
• Solid understanding of time series data and database management.
• A collaborative mindset, comfortable working in an Agile team and engaging with stakeholders across the company.

English level

Advanced

Responsibilities 

• Maintaining and optimizing data pipelines and integrations, including data ingestion, processing, and analysis
• Working extensively with Python, SQL, and Azure services like Databricks, Data Factory, and PostgreSQL
• Collaborating with other teams, such as Data Platform engineers, to ensure seamless data integration and delivery
• Participating in an Agile environment, working in 3-week sprints alongside a team of four data engineers and one scrum master
