What You Will Be Doing
The Senior Data Manager is responsible for developing and implementing governance policies, procedures and best practices designed to ensure the security, quality and proper use of data. Â Functions as a technology and process consultant for Human Resources and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure HR objectives are realized by implementing optimal solutions to improve efficiencies, and streamline business processes. Monitors regulatory changes, conducts analysis on regulatory impacts and consults with leaders to identify risk and remediation plans related to data and compliance. Serves as a project management leader for various projects within the People Organization.
What You Will Bring to ChargePoint
The Senior Data Manager is responsible for  the data integrity within the organization’s HRIS system. In this role, you will make recommendations to apply, or improve HR processes and practices while ensuring local, state, and federal requirements are met.
The individual in this role must have highly organized, have strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels. The individual must also be able to work both independently with different stakeholders to support multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, the individual must be flexible, agile, and able to team and collaborate in a virtual environment.
Responsibilities:Â
- View data from both a business and technical perspective and interact with end users and developers to define, describe, organize and categorize data sets. Â
- Partner with HR functions and cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that data integrity is maintained, business processes are well defined and meet the needs of the organization.
- Identify data issues and determine their severity and the scope of their business impact to aid in planning data quality improvement initiatives.
- Take the necessary steps to fix incorrect data values and other issues and to address their root cause.
- Provide solutions and create efficiencies for HR Systems Data working in hand with stakeholders and Security Governance by crafting opportunities for automation, reduction of manual processes that help drive accuracy and completeness.
- Partner with HRIS on the development of a data architecture to ensure data is efficiently organized, stored and maintained throughout its lifecycle.
- Define data integrations that meet stakeholder and business requirements.
- Develop and evaluate measurements and metrics to gauge effectiveness of the processes and systems.
- Assist key stakeholders with data analysis, data validations, and data extracts.
- Establish and maintain data management, data quality guidelines and governance best practices for end users.
- Experience with defining user access requirements into security requirements, roles, administration capabilities, developing and implementing HR Systems Data.
- Other projects as required
Project Management:
- Participate and lead related HR initiatives including change management.
- Strong ability to think through and drive change from an end user perspective.
- Self-Starter who can partners with HR functions and cross-functional stakeholders to define business requirements and implementation plans, including project prioritization, scheduling, and resource planning.
- Strong organizational skills to project manage various initiatives within the people organization
Basic qualifications
- BA/BS degree or equivalent work experience
- 8+ years of experience general HR experience
- 10+ years of direct HR Systems Data within an HRIS system.
- 3+ years of project management experience.
Preferred qualifications
- Understanding of general HR principles and policies
- Strong analytical skills and reporting skills
- Exceptional communication skills with a high degree of attention to detail. Experience handling sensitive matters with tact
- Resourceful, with ability to work as a self-starter in a face paced, flexible environment
- Ability to act with sense of urgency, while maintaining accuracy & data integrity
- Strong project management & organization skills
- Experience in high growth company a plus
- Familiar with UltiPro and Workday
- Experience with Workday implementation
Location

ChargePoint is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
The targeted US salary range for roles at this operating level is $82,500 to $172,750. This range represents base salary and does not reflect equity, benefits or variable pay where applicable. Actual base salaries are based on several factors unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, experience, certifications and specific work location.
