Senior Database Administrator

You Will:

• Pinpoint and remediate inefficient queries, ensuring maximum efficiency and performance. 
• Set up and manage alerts for database issues including deadlocks, long-running queries, and blocking issues. 
• Utilize tools such as Solarwinds DPA or Dynatrace to monitor database health and performance. 
• Implement and oversee database backup procedures, emphasizing incremental transaction log backups across all products. 
• Spearhead the database components of disaster recovery tests, ensuring data integrity and availability during contingencies. 
• Setup automation for Production to Development Environment database restores. 
• Aid in the establishment and management of reporting servers, leveraging tools like DevExpress or SSRS. 
• Collaborate with teams to ensure timely and accurate report generation.
• Partner with other IT teams and departments to provide holistic database solutions and insights. 
• Document best practices and share them with the team.

You Have:

• Expertise in rebuilding indexes, updating statistics, and rectifying bad query plans.
• Familiarity with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau and PowerBI. 
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field; Master's preferred. 
• Extensive experience as a Database Administrator, with notable expertise in Microsoft SQL Server and Snowflake environments.
• Proven proficiency with database monitoring tools like Solarwinds DPA, Dynatrace, or its equivalents. 
• Strong understanding of database structures, theories, principles, and best practices. 
• Exceptional analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities. 
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
