Senior DevOps Engineer

The work can be managed remotely – with time-to-time office presence depending on the team’s agreement and the demand of the respective professional area – from any location in Hungary. In case of some company events, office attendance is expected from the colleagues. Technical conditions for working from home are fully in place.

Overall Purpose of Job:

Compleo Charging Software’s e-mobility cloud platform as well as the software development process incl. CI/CD must be prepared for the hyper-exponential growth expected in the e-mobility market. The Site Reliability Engineering  team of professional DevOps Engineers ensures a scalable and highly reliable platform and utilizes synergies by supporting the

development teams through automation.

Main tasks, roles and responsibilities:

• As DevOps Engineer you will maintain and improve our DevOps environment (Gitlab, Grafana, K8s etc.) on all platform stages.
• Through automation in our own developer portal you will enable software developers and test engineers to focus on their job and not hassle with infrastructure requests, (such as database creation or access) or the zero-downtime deployment process.
• Together with your team you will improve the platform monitoring and support in case of platform infrastructure related incident analysis, side by side with our Operations department and software developers.
• With your experience you will act as technical sparring’s partner for our software developers and test engineers in case of questions related to infrastructure, monitoring, alerting and CI/CD.
• Together with your team you will keep an eye on new technologies to improve our platform and support our development process.
• You will work with international colleagues in the scaled agile software development program using SAFe methodology. 
   

Education:

• University degree in Computer Sciences or similar education

Work experiences – time/seniority/sector:

• 3+ years of DevOps Engineering or System Administration
• 2+ years as Developer, ideally Java and/or Javascript

Technical/ IT knowledge:

• Linux
• Gitlab – Administration and CI/CD
• Kubernetes - Administration
• Grafana - Administration
• Docker
• Ideally Java
• Ideally Webdevelopment – Javascript and HTML

Language – with level

• Fluent English

Mobility requirements

• As per need – usually 2-4 weeks per year to Germany or similar

Required Skills and Competencies:

• You are enthusiastic over solving complex problems in a team and automatizing recurring tasks
• You have experience with agile methodologies like Scrum/Kanban and ideally SAFe
• You have strong communication skills
• You are open minded
