THE ROLE: Senior DevOps Engineer

Job Summary:

As a Senior DevOps Engineer, you will be focused on working with teams and building systems that enable organizations to create modern development platforms and cloud-native applications. A successful candidate will join our team, working directly with clients, enabling software engineering and DevOps teams by building the platforms they need and training them on how to use them. You must possess a strong working knowledge of the AWS or Azure platform, DevOps tooling, Kubernetes, cloud-native development patterns and conventions, VMWare vCenter, core networking and data center tech

Job Responsibilities:

• Work as part of a team to deliver xOps capabilities to clients in the areas of DevOps, SRE, NetDevOps, FinOps, and DevSecOps
• Work with partners and clients to build platforms to support cloud-native application development patterns and practices.
• Understanding of modern software engineering, development, and management practices, and be able to teach partners and clients how to implement and maintain.
• Consult with clients on the adoption of software containers and container orchestration platforms (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift

Required Skills:

• Declarative Infrastructure (Terraform, Ansible, YAML)
• Experience with core networking and datacenter technologies
• Programming (Python, Bash, Powershell)
• VMware Center
• Docker
• Kubernetes
• Experience with one or more major clouds (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Familiarity with Linux
• Expertise in modern DevOps methodologies and best practices
• Expertise in public and private cloud hybrid architecture, networking and connectivity.
• Deep understanding of cloud design patterns, cloud operations and cloud cost models with hands-on ability to implement best practices or suggest improvements.
• Strong communication skills, experience presenting technical ideas in business-friendly language to business stakeholders.
• Analytical and problem-solving abilities

Additional Desired Skills:

• Quickly learn new APIs from documentation
• Netbox / Nautobot / Infoblox
• Servicenow
• Postgres or Mongo databases working knowledge

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 6+ years working within DevOps, Programming, Docker
