Job Description

As the Senior Director of VBC Platform Strategy and Operations, you will be at the forefront of shaping and optimizing our organization's platform initiatives in the value-based care (VBC) landscape. You will take ownership of the development, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of our VBC platform, ensuring its alignment with industry best practices, regulatory requirements, and organizational goals. This role requires a dynamic individual who can drive innovation, collaboration, and strategic vision to transform healthcare delivery through a VBC lens.

Privia’s Platform includes technology and services that streamlines VBC success nationally for our providers and patients. The platform combines off-the-shelf and proprietary tools that enable our VBC strategies and tactics. Under the hood are solutions from industry leaders like athenahealth and Snowflake with a vast amount of automation and RPA capabilities. The Senior Director of VBC Platform Strategy and Operations will organize the platform capabilities and forward-looking roadmaps of our vendor partners with the needs of Privia’s clinical and business leaders in all facets of VBC (MSSP, MA, Commercial).

Core strategies within Privia’s VBC platform include: patient access, quality, risk documentation, total cost of care, patient satisfaction, provider engagement, and workflow efficiency.

  • Maintain VBC platform roadmaps by leading continuous improvement initiatives for the value-based care platform, seeking opportunities to optimize workflows, enhance user experience, and drive better patient outcomes while maximizing product investments

  • Influence VBC platform strategy, portfolio, and roadmap to support overall company strategy and goals with respect to Privia’s government and commercial VBC programs.

  • Facilitate communication between business teams and engineering teams including enabling and contributing to documenting business and functional requirements, and product specifications and participating in testing the resulting functionality 

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement innovative solutions that enhance the platform's functionality and effectiveness to meet business and clinical objectives

  • Key contributor towards the operational, communication, and workflow strategy of Privia’s VBC proprietary technology, EMR, and national partnerships

  • Work with product owner colleagues in the expansion and maturation of Privia’s data warehouse and VBC analytics solutions

  • Subject matter expert in all proprietary VBC Privia products and serves as a platform evangelist guiding team members to understand the value and vision of the technology

  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare providers, payers, and technology partners, to understand their needs and expectations for the value-based care platform.

  • Partners with Product Owners on products or projects managing incoming VBC product requests from a variety of functional areas and stakeholder expectations

  • Stay abreast of regulatory changes and industry standards related to value-based care, ensuring the platform supports compliance with all relevant regulations in partnership with Privia’s Legal and Compliance teams.

  • Collaborate with data analytics teams to define and implement key performance metrics that measure the impact and success of the value-based care platform.

  • Collaborate and problem-solve with Product Operations leadership on complex issues or problems that come through our support channels 

  • Provides goal guidance and support to Professionals reporting to them

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or advanced degree in healthcare management, business administration, or a related field preferred.

  • Proven experience in product ownership or management, preferably in value-based care or healthcare technology.

  • In-depth knowledge of value-based care models, healthcare delivery systems, and regulatory requirements.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to leverage data to drive decision-making.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across diverse teams.

The salary range for this role is $160,000.00 to $200,000.00 in base pay and exclusive of any bonuses or benefits. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus targeted at 15% based on performance in the role. The base pay offered will be determined based on relevant factors such as experience, education, and geographic location.
