- Job Description
- Identify, mature, and manage end-to-end email security controls through the use of Microsoft ATP/EOP and the Proofpoint Email Gateway and suite of products
- Assist in the configuration and architecture of inbound and outbound email security mail flow
- Analyze and address compliance to Email Authentication standards (SPF, DKIM, and DMARC)
- Maintain vendor relationships and communicate support cases, product issues, and pain points across products
- Work collaboratively and provide guidance and leadership with other peer organizations responsible for our end user technology suite to ensure key security controls are met
- Operationalize and document processes surrounding the day-to-day activities involved with the email security suite of tooling
- Collaborate with our SOC, CIRT, Cyber Intel, and Security Awareness teams in support of investigations and projects related to email security
- Effectively communicate technical concepts to business lines and stakeholders
- Develop metrics and measures demonstrating compliance against security controls
- About You
- Bachelor's degree preferred and/or 3+ years of relevant professional Information Technology / Information Security experience
- 1+ years' experience with email security products, governance, and frameworks
- Familiarity and experience with DNS, SMTP mail flow, message tracking, analyzing email message headers, content filtering, and spam/virus filtering
- Ability to work independently while driving projects to conclusion
- Strong oral and written communication skills with ability to understand technology sufficiently to clearly communicate the complexity in simple terms for key stakeholders
- Ability to initiate new ideas, create action plans, implement projects, and carry efforts to completion; proven ability to lead through engagement with others; and capability to solve problems, to resolve conflicts and to deal effectively with internal and external constituencies
- Attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience managing multiple projects and deadlines
- Preferred Qualifications
- Experience operating email protection services within a large enterprise
- Solid understanding of network transport protocols and services (TCP/IP, syslog, DNS, ODBC, SFTP, SSH, PKI, etc.)
- General scripting proficiency (i.e. Powershell, BASH, Python, Perl, etc)
- Experience with managing infrastructure within AWS and/or other public cloud environments
- Security certification(s) such as Security+ or CISSP
