Intercept Games is a Private Division/Take-Two development studio currently focused on the creation of Kerbal Space Program 2 (KSP2) as well as an unannounced stylized science-based adventure game. The Challenge
We are looking for an experienced engineering manager with a strong track record of growing and running positively impactful teams. The best candidate is someone who leads with empathy, humility, and authenticity.
As a Senior Engineering Manager on our team, you will be responsible for leading and growing an existing engineering team and supporting the delivery of quality software in collaboration with cross-discipline leaders. A successful leader in this role is able to build trust with their direct reports, foster a collaborative team environment, inspire creativity, and maintain a high bar for performance. Your technical understanding will allow you to guide your team toward making deep contributions to critical technologies that make our products outstanding. We expect this role to demonstrate Engineering Excellence through iterating on process for code reviews, system design, documentation, and testing.

What We Offer You:
The pay range for this position in Washington at the start of employment is expected to be between $130,000 and $240,000 per Year. However, base pay offered is based on market location, and may vary further depending on individualized factors for job candidates, such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and other objective business considerations. Subject to those same considerations, the total compensation package for this position may also include other elements, including a bonus and/or equity awards and eligibility to participate in our 401(K) plan, in addition to a full range of medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees will also receive 14 paid holidays per calendar year, are eligible to earn a minimum of 15 days of vacation leave per year (subject to proration based on start date during the calendar year) and will receive 10 sick days per calendar year. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. If hired, employee will be in an 'at-will position' and the company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other discretionary payment or compensation or benefit program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.

What You'll Take On
- Manage and develop a team of senior engineers by practicing proactive mentorship and creating individualized career paths.
- Guide the engineering team in setting realistic goals that allow us to ship games we are proud of while maintaining work/life balance.
- Collaborate with technical leadership to define and implement engineering standards for Intercept Games.
- Contribute as part of studio leadership in organizational direction, specializing in matters pertaining to engineering.
- Continuously improve team health by finding opportunities to refine how we work as a team.
- Actively participate in interviewing, recruitment, and onboarding process to support studio growth.
What You Bring
- 10+ years of cumulative professional software engineering experience with at least 3+ years of experience in leading multi-functional engineering teams
- Experience leading an engineering team of 10 or more with a demonstrated history of successful delivery to customers.
- Strong communication and active listening skills, with the ability to provide direct and constructive feedback.
- A positive and collaborative leadership style.
- Ability to set clear vision and direction with technical experts.
- Experience with C++ and/or C#.
- A desire to work with people who are passionate about space exploration, rocketry, video games, and related entertainment media.
- Development in the Unity or Unreal game engine is beneficial but not required.
