Senior Front-End Engineer

We're looking for Senior Front Software Engineers who equally relish the subtle interaction details that makes the product delightful, the hard-technical challenges involved in making a desktop-grade web app, writing highly reusable code, and thinking about how to build better systems. Product intuition is as much as necessity as technical knowledge or familiarity with best practices of front end engineering. You will play a key role in designing, and maintaining high-quality user interfaces for our web applications using React and related technologies. You will also collaborate closely with UX team members, backend engineers, and product managers to bring our vision to life.

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Participate in creating a UI driven infrastructure for Aktana products
• Collaborate with UX team, product managers and other technical teams to create delightful user experience
• Create and Integrate UI modules with the modern Restful API
• Contribute to end-to-end system architecture, working with back-end engineers
• Develop new user-facing features and components using React and the React ecosystem (Redux, React Query, SWR, Recharts, etc)
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code
• Create and maintain highly reusable component and framework
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to fellow developers
• May assist with debugging and resolving UI-related issues
• Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in the React world
• Learn and apply new technologies, best design practices and usability patterns

REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCES 

• Bachelors or Masters in Computer Science or similar field
• Proven experience building web applications with React (4+ years)
• Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals (ES6+)
• Experience with testing libraries (Jest, Testing library)
• Solid understanding of CS, OOP/OOD, design patterns
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Track record in large-scale software development
• 8 - 10 years of experience developing UI for software products
• Understanding of usability and interaction design

NICE TO HAVE 

• Start-up experience
• Experience in building at least one frontend application using ReactJS
• Experience in building components with Material UI and Recharts
• Good understanding of webpack, CSS pre-processors, react-redux architecture.
• Understanding of network layer, HTTP, HTTPS, cookies, local storage
• UI/UX design principles

EDUCATION 

BS/MS degree in Computer Science or related fields and/or equivalent work experience.
