Sounds great, what will I be doing? 🤔

As our Frontend Engineer you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the user experience by delivering new and exciting features on our platforms. On a day-to-day basis, you’ll conduct code reviews, work closely with designers to ensure optimal UX, and collaborate with other teams to integrate projects into a cohesive system. Additionally, you’ll motivate and guide junior team members, participate in tech sessions, and engage in DevOps and QA operations. Working within a cross-functional and multinational team using React and TypeScript, you'll ensure that deliverables meet GWI standards by adhering to best practices in front-end engineering.

It’s also fun; shaking things up is what working for a growing company is all about. So you’ll need to be flexible, comfortable with continuous change, and working in a high-tempo environment as we grow.

What do I need to bring with me? 🧳

You’ll need to be able to demonstrate the core skills this role requires. You don't have to tick all the boxes right away; the important thing is that you’re willing to learn. Here’s what the team will be looking for:

👉 Demonstrable commercial experience in coding with React.js and Typescript

👉 Excellent software development skills using both object and functional-oriented design fundamentals with a strong background in client-facing software applications

👉 Strong fundamentals around the web platform as a whole (HTTP/S, REST, Web performance & security)

👉 Experience with Computer Science fundamentals (data representation, data structures, algorithms) and with Test Driven Development (TDD)

👉 Knowledge and experience with continuous integration and deployment automation concepts

👉 Good judgment, prompt decision-making ability, responsibility, and accountability

👉 Ability to adapt to changing requirements and delivery timelines; Agile development experience (including tools like JIRA, Git, etc) is welcome

👉 Excellent command of written and spoken English
