Given our exceptional growth we are expanding and hiring a Senior Innovation Analyst to join us on this exciting journey. The Senior Innovation Analyst (“analyst”) works consultatively with the business and technologists across the firm to identify features and capabilities that represent a substantive value and competitive differentiation for our products and solutions. As part of the Technology team, the analyst will also own Bishop Fox’s intellectual property program and work with our partners to see patents through from ideation to application to grant.

• Operationalize and own the patent development lifecycle and budget.
• Curate innovative ideas across the firm and prioritize which ideas to pursue and protect.
• Reviews both organic and inorganic research proposals and owns the prioritization of the innovation backlog.
• Assist senior leadership and partners with developing, managing, and defining our IP strategy.
• Develop deep expertise of Bishop Fox’s entire product and services portfolio and the data ecosystems that supports each.
• Regularly meet with business stakeholders from product, engineering, legal, and other groups across the business to discuss ongoing initiatives and plan.
• Coordinates directly with product management for future roadmap integration.
• Coordinate and work with external patent attorneys, lawyers, or other related service providers.

• Current or former patent attorney responsible for processing invention disclosures, performing and analyzing patent searches for relevant prior art, and navigating the USPTO.
• Proven consultative experience in leading or coordinating with business and technology teams.
• Significant experience with agile product development and identifying innovative solutions.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or related field.
• Demonstrated ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule trade-offs and/or new opportunities with technical and non-technical employees.
• Prior innovation experience and working with product development teams preferred.
• Prior experience with the intellectual property process as an inventor highly desired.
• Ability to identify trends in the security industry, specifically around big data, offensive security, and AI/ML.
