Senior Lead Project Engneer -Cyber Security/SCMS

You as a Senior Lead Project Engineer - Cyber security / SCMS will be part of Hitachi Energy business based in Dubai, UAE. Project Engineering focuses on cyber security (OT/ICS) and SCMS system designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project.

Your responsibilities

• Designing Knowledge of creating substation automation architecture, network architecture, functional design specifications, detail design specifications and factory acceptance test procedure (FAT) and getting approval from customer.
• Performing factory acceptance testing with the customer to prove system readiness and supporting project managers in issuing claims including new or change in scope of work, cost impact, time impact and risk qualifications.
• Demonstrating the cyber solution in real world control system installations and prepare best practice guides for testing, deployment and long-term management of the Cyber Security technology solution.
• Sound Knowledge of installation of SCADA, Micro SCADA software, Database creation for SCADA/Micro SCADA application, conducting FAT and support commissioning activities of Substation automation system.
• In depth knowledge of communication protocols IEC61850 8-1(Substation Bus), IEC61850 9-2(Process Bus), MODBUS, IEC101, IEC104, Parallel Redundant Protocol (PRP), MQTT, DNP & Modbus TCP/IP & Mobus Serial, ICCP Server, SPA & LON, SNTP, SNMP and RSTP.
• Experience in OT/ICS Cyber Security of Sub-Station Automation Systems for Projects that will include Secure System Architecture, System Hardening, Access Control and Account Management, Security logging & Monitoring, Security Patching, Malware Protection, Backup & Restore, Secure Remote Access, NMS (Network management system), NTP (network time protocol), OPC, DC (Domain controller), Anti-Virus, ALMS (alarm management system), windows patch management, DMZ (Demilitarized zone).
• System Hardening as per CIS Bench guidelines, IEC62443 & ISA-99 Purdue Model for ICS, NIST CSF Framework, ISO27001, SOC & SIEM, SiESTA & Nessus for Vulnerability Assessment & Scanning, OT/ICS asset management, Vulnerability Penetration Testing (VAPT).
• Knowledge of 3rd Party IED's integration, software, Operating system and configuration of Layer-2 and Layer-3 switches, routers, Fortinet NSE1/NSE2/NSE3 firewalls and windows defenders.
• Hands on experience on Fortinet FortiGate Ruggedized Firewall (Substation Critical/Non-Critical Zone) or Palo Alto Ruggedized Firewall (Substation Critical/Non-Critical Zone).
• Designing knowledge of ICS Threat Detection e.g. Nazomi networks or Fore scout-IDS, Endpoint Protection and Application Whitelisting (Trend Micro /TxOne) for Criticla and Non-Critical Zone.
• Knowledge and hand-on experience on Microsoft AD management for secure identity and access management with LDAP/Radius, Role Base Access and two factor authentication and Security incident and event management SIEM tool knowledge for OT-CSC integration.
• Adapting at managing design engineering operations involving design & development, developing detailed drawing for fabrication, co-ordination with internal departments, indorsing safety and healthy working cultures across all tasks and assignments being handled and reporting unsafe practices and incidents and assigning tasks for and directs engineers, technicians, and administrative staff.

• A bachelor's or master's degree in electrical engineering, cyber security, SCMS or relevant field is required.
• Minimum 8-10 years of relevant of Cyber Security, Micro SCADA, experience is required.
• ICS/OT Cybersecurity certificate, certified substation automation system, CompTIA A+ Core ½, and certification of CCNA is value added.
• Customer and sales ensure delivery of technical solutions according to customer requirements and collaborating with the Supply Chain function to ensure that correct and suppliers' services and equipment are available to support the engineering execution.
• Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required.
