Senior Manager, Azure Data Engineering - West Region

As a Data Engineering Group Manager, you will translate business requirements into technical solutions, analyze current practices, and identify future opportunities. You will support data design services, deliver architectures for data transformations, and build modern data pipelines and APIs. Your role includes developing data warehouses and exposing data to end users through various visualization platforms. Together we do what matters.

What you'll do:

* Translate business requirements into technical solutions.

* Analyze current business practices and identify opportunities.
* Support data design services and perform needs assessments.
* Deliver architectures for data transformations using cloud technologies.
* Design and build data pipelines and data streams.
* Develop and maintain data warehouses and databases.
* Implement effective metrics and monitoring processes.

Skills and experiences:

* Demonstrated experience turning business use cases into technical solutions.
* Experience in business process mapping of data and analytics solutions.
* Ability to conduct data profiling, cataloging, and mapping for technical design.
* Mastery of .NET C# and T-SQL; familiarity with U-SQL.
* Knowledge of Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, Azure SQL DW, and Azure SQL.
* Experience preparing data for Data Science and Machine Learning.
* Strong team collaboration and experience working with remote teams.
* Previous consulting experience is a huge plus.

Compensation for roles at Avanade varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by local law, Avanade provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in California, Colorado, and Washington as set forth below.

California & Washington: $183,000-$217,500
Colorado: $164,000-$195,000
