THE ROLE

To manage effectively any technical risks linked to new or value engineered products in order to provide the business with the means to deliver safe and quality products to consumers and customers, paying attention to compliance with GMPs and related market regulations.

Key expectation of the role is to ensure Quality is incorporated into the Design of all Coty products.

In this role you will be responsible for:

  • Primary contact in Global Design QA for allocated brands linked to Consumer Beauty brands e.g Max Factor, Rimmel, etc.
  • Critical partner for all risk assessment (including FMEAs) done for new or inline products from risk identification to risk mitigation.
  • Plays an active role in decision making of technical risks with business partner (R&D, QA, TPS, IC, IM (Initiative Management), Regulatory, Safety and Marketing).
  • Leads root cause analysis, follow up and closure of actions plans linked to Design of the formula/pack/industrialization process.
  • Tracks the delivery of Right Time for New Products KPI into Coty sites and TPMs.
  • Performs analysis of data to present to leadership the statistics, improvements and what's working.
  • Ensures learnings from Design issues are embedded into the R&D processes as part of preventative measures for reoccurrence.
  • Leads improvement projects as defined together with leadership.
  • Performs the qualification of new Vendors or new sites to existing Vendors. This includes auditing, CAPA Management and close out.
  • Supports the investigation of complaints related to R&D failures.
  • Leads or contributes to changes in QA SOPs, corporate Defect Range boards, etc.
  • Plays role of reviewer to any new test methods or SOPs created/modified in R&D.
  • Conducts training for business partners on QA requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

We'd love to see candidates who have:

Essential:

  • Minimum BS in life sciences discipline or other technical degree, i.e. Chemistry, biology, or Engineer etc.
  • 4+ years of experience in Quality in the manufacture of Cosmetics or related products with a strong working knowledge of GMPs and/or FDA/ISO guidelines for manufacturing of Cosmetic and related products
  • 4+ years of experience in R&D, ideally in Cosmetics Pack/Formula.
  • An aptitude and knowledge of data collection, analysis, statistics, visual presentation methods, process mapping and modeling is preferred.
  • Highly organized analytical and quantitative thinker with strong problem-solving abilities with particular attention to detail and time management.
  • Clear oral and written communication in English is essential to accurately convey issues to executives and employees. (English is business language)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access and Outlook) and the ability to use SAP QM including a learning aptitude for other computer system tools.
