Job Description
The Sr. Manager of Engineering is responsible for building and delivering key product features and a large-scale product migration/upgrade services to leapfrog our legacy customers to newer PMS/EHR product and platforms. The Sr. Manager of Engineering will collaborate with engineers and within the company while providing data-driven analysis. This role requires conceptual thinking that calls upon an in-depth knowledge of engineering practices and a capability to make decision independently applying engineering knowledge to our organizational objectives.Â
RESPONSIBILITIES Â

Establishes operational objectives, policies, procedures, and work plans to meet the large-scale migration / upgrades outlined by the organization.

Work with team to build a highly performant, reliable, and reusable migration/transformation tool for migrating our customers to newer platform driving outcomes that delight of our customers.Â

Drive quality of products and services to deliver results while proactively identifying and mitigating issues that would cause delays.Â

Build a high performing team; provide coaching & recognition, address performance issues and stretch HiPos; foster strong technical practices through code reviews, and architectural design collaboration and security.Â

Drives work & project completion while balancing the individual needs of the team members; be willing to get hands-on with the code and code-reviews when needed.Â

Inspires team members to action and to overcome obstacles; translate initiatives into meaningful SMART goals for team members to deliver.Â

Lead by raising issues & solutions including conducting Root Cause Analysis (RCAs), delivering data, leading organizational changes at a team level, driving continuous improvement while maintaining EQ.
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:Â
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related field idealÂ
- 10+ years of experience leading software development teamsÂ
- Extensive product development experience using Java or .NET based tech stacks
- Experience in implementing solutions using the AWS platform, services, and tools.Â
- Knowledge of databases and experienced in SQL.Â
- At least 6+ years working with the following:Â
- Requirements gathering, design reviews, release planning, and drafting solutions/implementation documentsÂ
- Working in an Agile environment for the planning, distribution, managing, and completion of epics/stories and tasks
- Working with tools including Azure Devops, Confluence/JIRA, a GIT based source code control system, CI/CD pipelines.Â
Preferred QualificationsÂ
- Passionate about infrastructure and building products that accelerate the transformation of customer journeys or at a minimum reduce friction.
- Data driven and goal oriented.Â
- Passionate about coaching other engineers and helping them develop their careers.Â
- Experienced in managing mixed engineering teams including backend, frontend, and cloud infrastructure.Â
- Great collaborator and partner with stakeholders in other departments.Â
- Experience working with off-shore and distributed teams.Â
