Senior Manager Enterprise Technology Projects

We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager, Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) to join our Enterprise Technology Manufacturing Team in Richmond, VA.

In this role your primary responsibility is to oversee the implementation and management of a multi-project MES program across all Altria manufacturing organizations.

Job Responsibilities:• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including production, IT, engineering, and QA, to gather requirements and ensure the MES solution meets the needs of various stakeholders.• Conduct detailed analysis of manufacturing processes and workflows to define system requirements and functionality.• Identify opportunities for process improvement within manufacturing operations and leverage MES capabilities to enhance efficiency.• Translate business requirements into technical specifications for MES configuration and customization.• Develop and execute project plans for the implementation of MES, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and timelines.• Coordinate resources, activities, and tasks to achieve project milestones and successful system deployment.• Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure a cohesive and integrated approach to MES implementation.• Manage relationships with vendors throughout the project lifecycle, addressing issues and ensuring the delivery of quality products and services.• Monitor project risks and implement contingency plans to ensure the project stays on schedule and within budget.• Develop and execute comprehensive testing plans to validate the functionality and performance of the MES solution.• Develop training programs for end-users and support staff to ensure a smooth transition to the new MES system.• Implement change management strategies to facilitate the adoption of MES and minimize disruptions to manufacturing operations.• Ensure the create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including project plans, system requirements, test plans, and post-implementation documentation.• Ensure documentation complies with organizational standards and regulatory requirements.• Develop and manage the project budget, ensuring that financial resources are allocated appropriately and that the project remains within budget constraints.• Provide regular updates to executive leadership and key stakeholders on project status, milestones, and potential issues.

Job Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in engineering, information technology, project management, or a related field.• Extensive experience (typically 8-10+ years) in project management, with a focus on MES implementation in a manufacturing environment.• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is preferred.• In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes and familiarity with MES technologies.• Strong leadership and communication skills.• Experience in managing cross-functional teams and complex projects.• Familiarity with regulatory requirements and quality standards in manufacturing
