About the job
Global Manufacturing Partner Management (GMPM) is responsible for the commercial and operations management of technical Infrastructure contract manufacturing and Joint Development Manufacturer (JDM) partners that build server, storage, networking and ML infrastructure. We strive to develop and enable contract manufacturing (CM) partners that can align to our future needs around hardware and software development as well as an advanced manufacturing global footprint. This team owns the selection, negotiation and management of our CM partners and ensures alignment to technical infrastructure product roadmaps. We are involved in the full product lifecycle from the start of NPI through sustaining and EOL of a product.
In this role you will lead a team of experienced sourcing professionals and own the cost, contracts, onboarding, relationships and performance management of CMs building Google's cloud infrastructure. You will collaborate closely with leaders across Cloud Supply Chain and Operations (CSCO) and Platforms Infrastructure Engineering (PIE) to drive CM's to design, build and deliver across compute, ML, networking and rack product areas.
Behind everything our users see online is the architecture built by the Technical Infrastructure team to keep it running. From developing and maintaining our data centers to building the next generation of Google platforms, we make Google's product portfolio possible. We're proud to be our engineers' engineers and love voiding warranties by taking things apart so we can rebuild them. We keep our networks up and running, ensuring our users have the best and fastest experience possible.
