About the Role
As the Senior Manager, IT Operations you will be a critical part of supporting our work to bring new therapies to market by assisting with IT needs for our systems, in our offices, and supporting the strategy for our IT infrastructure as we grow. You are a technical expert with a wide breadth of IT disciplines and leverage this technical knowledge through hands-on involvement in leading IT projects, steering the technical team, and delivering outstanding support to our employees.
Reporting to the Vice President, Business Operations, you will play a key role in managing and leading the company’s infrastructure in a controlled environment, including cloud-based infrastructure, end user services, and audio-visual systems. This role will work closely with other cross-functional departments, MSPs and the help desk, and consultants to ensure an effective and efficient level of IT support is provided to the company as well as onsite IT issues as needed for both our Waltham, MA and NYC offices. You must have experience within IT operations or systems support in order to be successful in this role.

We are open to you working remotely. We prefer you are based in the Tri-State or Greater Boston area and are able to easily travel to our Waltham or NYC offices in an event IT support is required onsite.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the Subject Matter Expert across all applicable IT disciplines and as the main escalation point for all internal IT troubleshooting.Â
- Hands-on management and guidance of MSP and associates, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment.
- Lead, plan, and execute IT projects, aligning with Dianthus’s strategic objectives.
- Ensure seamless IT operations, focusing on both hardware and software components.
- Oversee our cloud-based infrastructure and software environments.
- Maintain and optimize WAN/LAN/ WiFi Infrastructure, ensuring robustness and reliability.
- Spearhead cybersecurity initiatives to safeguard company data and infrastructure; preferably with an understanding of HIPAA, SOX and GDPR compliance needs.
- Administer backup infrastructure for the enterprise.
- Provide comprehensive support for Windows systems and a few iOS systems.
- Assist with IT purchasing, budget management, and vendor relationships.
- Play a pivotal role in various audits of IT systems and third-party vendors, representing the IT operations team.
- Implement and manage IT service management processes, with knowledge of ITIL standards.
- Ensuring effective resolution of IT issues.
Experience
- Proven experience in Infrastructure Management, Identity Access Management, Cyber Security, Cyber Compliance, and similar IT functions.
- Professional IT Experience of more than three years is required. At least three years in Senior IT technical roles with three or more additional years in a hands-on IT Management is preferred.
- Significant professional certifications in IT Systems & Software; such as Microsoft, Salesforce, Cisco, ITIL, or similar.
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is preferred.
- Experience in the life sciences sector is highly preferred.
- Strong expertise in managing IT operations in a regulated environment.
- Proficiency in IT service management and experience with ITIL.
- Project and process management skills, including the proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Patience, a strong personality, and the ability to see the big picture and stand your ground in decision-making.
- Strong work ethic (takes ownership) and quick-study mentality; a track record of leadership experience and demonstrated ability to lead top-priority projects; Results-driven.
