Lead Sensory Product Testing and Consumer insights for a fortune 200 company with some of the most iconic brands! Have a Bachelor's degree with five plus years of sensory product testing and insights experience? If so, we want to speak with you!

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager, Sensory Product Testing & Consumer Insights to join the team in Richmond, VA. or we are open to remote work arrangements.

This role will support the Venture Growth System through Sensory Product Testing and Consumer research - Leading consumer research and insights and development of the product research system supporting the teams focused on moving beyond smoking.

In this role, you will:• Lead sensory product testing and consumer research and insights synthesis to drive deep consumer understanding and empathy within the area of future growth to develop and market innovative products.• Create infrastructure for sensory product research - including development and implementation of procedures in conjunction with multiple cross functional teams and stakeholders and management of strategic partnerships with suppliers to conduct the work.• Lead consumer research strategy, design, oversight, execution, and activation of foundational consumer research• Demonstrate subject matter expertise in consumer behavior and journeys to champion the consumer and to identify consumer problems.• Translate findings into stories from multiple research studies and data sources into simple yet impactful insights that will enable us to meet and exceed adult consumer expectations• Build stakeholder relationships and serve as a strategic partner across different functions to link and build collaborative insights• Integrate consumer and sensory product research data and analysis from multiple sources to generate consumer-centric insights and provide actionable business recommendations.• Manage and develop project pipelines while working on multiple projects and priorities in rapidly changing environment.• Establish relationships with cross-functional teams and serve as a critical thinking partner. Collaborate across different internal and external departments and interact with upper levels of leadership on a regular basis to influence business decisions.• Establish new strategic supplier relationships to identify and onboard research partners that bring in new capabilities.

What we want you to have:• Bachelor's degree and 10+ years of work experience with 5+ years' experience in sensory product research, consumer insights and activation. (CPG industry, innovation experience, product research, product development or consulting a plus).• Excellent communications skills including the ability to deliver a clear story to influence agreement to your recommendations with data and insights.• The ability to build visuals to clearly tell complex consumer stories in a simple to understand way.• Proven experience with sensory product research and incorporation of packaged goods product testing results in product development and marketing strategies.• Intellectual curiosity and the creativity to discover and implement new solutions.• Advanced critical thinking and strategic planning skills.• Ability to comfortably and confidently present to all levels within the enterprise.• Excellent oral and written communication skills as well as data visualization.• The ability to work collaboratively and respectfully with diverse teams in a fast-paced environment.• Consultative skills, and the courage and confidence to debate.• Passion about discovering new things and ability to learn quickly.• High level of proficiency with MS Office applications, especially Excel & PowerPoint.• Comfort working in an evolving role/department.

Total Rewards

The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $124,900.00 - $190,450.00 / annually.
