Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and support cross functional project teams to manage and execute top-priority strategic initiatives (examples include emerging categories exploration, top-line acceleration, cost improvement, competitor benchmarking, white space analysis, etc.)
  • Conduct analysis on special projects, develop presentations for senior leadership team, and host working sessions to evaluate and prioritize insights.
  • Provide thought leadership and oversee various business intelligence activities.
  • Responsible for mentoring and developing associates on the team, fostering a positive and engaged environment, as well as coaching and building capabilities throughout the organization as relevant and appropriate while partnered on major strategic projects and initiatives. Also responsible to help manage overall strategy team capability improvement (e.g., campus recruiting strategies, learning and development plans).
  • Expected to become an expert over time in the pet category and use this knowledge to inform our efforts.
  • Effectively collaborate with cross functional peers, VPs, and critical Global/Corporate stakeholders to drive people, process, and system transformation within Strategy and Growth Transformation
  • Building a Five Principles Mars culture in the Strategy & Growth Transformation team through 80%+ associate engagement, a passion for pets, and a superior experience for our customers.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Educational Credentials: Bachelor's Degree in related field. A Masters in Business Administration from a top-tier educational institution is preferred.
  • Relevant Experience: A minimum of 5-7+ years of total experience required, with preference towards 2-3 years of experience at a top tier management consulting firm. Deep expertise in CPG, industry experience preferred but not required.
  • Functional Experience: Diversity of work is welcomed, with an emphasis on Growth Strategy.
  • Structured & Logical Thinking: The ability to understand the strategic implications of portfolio analysis, and to make strong, well supported recommendations.
  • Analytical Rigor: Proven capability conducting and managing quantitative strategic analysis.
  • Powerful communication: The ability to communicate effectively and succinctly, both verbally and on paper.
  • The candidate selected for this position will be a creative, out-of-the-box thinker who is intellectually curious with a demonstrated interest in learning. This person will also need to be a self -motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment. The candidate must be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel. This professional must demonstrate strong leadership skills, best demonstrated by the individual's ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management.
