Job Description
BryceTech is currently seeking an experienced Senior Marketing Specialist. This position shall provide branding, marketing, and communications support to FEMA at the headquarters and regional levels to enable FEMA to carry out its responsibilities efficiently and effectively under the Building Resilient Infrastructure and Communities, Non-financial Direct Technical Assistance (BRIC DTA) initiative. Must coordinate with the FEMA Office of External Affairs, program offices’ Communications teams, as appropriate, and other relevant FEMA offices and staff, as directed by the government leads. Efforts will also require close coordination with other contractors supporting BRIC DTA implementation.
The person in this role will:
- Support FEMA headquarters to develop the BRIC program and BRIC DTA initiative brands and associated style guide(s), in alignment with FEMA’s brand and FEMA branding guidance.
- Support BRIC and BRIC DTA teams to create a long-term communications strategy and consistent messaging about their programs and the communities and Tribal Nations they are designed to serve.
- Working in conjunction with BRIC Communications staff, support FEMA headquarters and regions to effectively tell stories about the BRIC program and BRIC DTA initiative, including successes, challenges, and innovations.
- Support FEMA headquarters and regions to develop a social media presence and strategies, implementation plans, and tools to create an engaging social media presence for the BRIC program and the BRIC DTA initiative and showcase community’s and Tribal Nation’s stories, including successes, innovative partnerships and lessons learned.
- Provide media outreach and pitch support including during program events and campaigns.
- Educate stakeholders on hazard and risk information on FEMA’s behalf and at FEMA’s direction.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or a related field.
- 10+ years of experience in marketing and communications, preferably in the Federal Government Market Space.
- Experience in Web communications, including experience with brand management
- Must have demonstrated experience leading teams of 5-10 in creating coordinated strategic communications and outreach campaigns
- Experienced with community outreach utilizing all relevant social media platforms
- Strong understanding of marketing principles and strategies. Experience with a variety of marketing channels, including paid advertising, public relations, and event planning.
- Proficiency in Microsoft suite including PowerPoint, Sharepoint and Adobe Creative platform including InDesign, Photoshop, and Illustrator.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Additional Information
- Salary Range $125,000 - $135,000
