Senior .NET Developer

Pay range: USD $126,500.00 - $185,000.00 / Year

Your opportunity

We are looking for a Senior Developer to join the Mutual Fund Technology team in the delivery of highly scalable, resilient, and low latency solutions. The role will be part of one of our Sprint based Agile teams that is currently playing a dual role of supporting the existing Mutual Fund platform while building out our to-be architecture. We will be building Schwab's future trading platform and you will lead agile teams, design, build and deploy software to support all of Schwab's Mutual Funds Technology. We work hard and have fun doing it!

What you're good at:

• Work closely with Tech leads and business partners to define Agile stories for new capabilities
• As a developer you will be a self-driven individual contributor; provide efficiently organized and designed logic; be highly-motivated and well versed in developing robust easily maintainable applications.
• Hands on coding, perform code reviews, unit testing and production issue solving
• Employing advanced expertise in software design and specifications to design effective processes to incorporate predictive or adaptive design techniques.
• Assist in design and implementation of new stories and bug fixes
• Mentor junior staff in the team and help them reach their career goals
• Partnering with fellow developers, product owners, technical leads and architects
• Understand, advocate and augment the platform principles, guidelines and standards. Align with application development and ensure standards and quality are met
• You are able to quickly understand complex problems and come up with simple solutions.
• Ability to communicate well with teams and leaders of the organization; have good listening skills and ask great questions
• This position requires good interpersonal, analytical and problem solving skills
• Strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail is required.

What you have

• 7+ years of enterprise technology related experience in application development using c# .NET / .NET core
• Strong knowledge and working experience with web services (REST).
• Experience in messaging and services-based software, preferably in a cloud platform using Kafka or equivalent technologies
• Experience working in any cloud based technologies like GCP, PCF or AWS etc.,
• Experience/knowledge with SCM (Atlassian tools Bitbucket, Jira, Confluence, Bamboo etc.) and DevOps tool suite is preferred
• Experience with test driven development preferred (Junit, EasyMock etc.,)
• Experience and strong fundamental knowledge in one or more types of database management systems like PostgreSQL, SQL Server, MongoDB and Redis etc.,
• Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum Experience adopting or managing continuous Integration and continuous delivery concepts and frameworks
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field OR related practical experience
• A passion for digital innovation and commitment to superb client experience
• BS or MS degree in Computer Science
• 7+ years of full stack application development experience and experience mentoring/assisting junior team developers on team
• Very experienced with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline tools
• Solid understanding of resiliency and disaster recovery solutions
• Effective time management. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
