Senior Network Developer

Our Network teams have a maniacal focus on delivering world-class network infrastructure by way of top notch automation on top of modern architectural and design concepts. Our goal is to build the most resilient, high performance network fabrics possible to accelerate our unique, and bleeding edge AI, ML, and VFX workloads for our customers, but also have fun doing it!  

CoreWeave maintains both a world class carrier grade backbone network, and runs numerous cloudscale datacenter fabrics, which are central to the direct success of our customers' workloads, as well as our critical internal supporting infrastructure.  

As our next amazing Sr. Network Developer and purveyor of fine packets, you will be responsible for helping design, develop, and implement observability/monitoring/telemetry for our network. Your day to day will consist of writing code, creating dashboards, writing alerts, and working closely with our Infra Network Engineering teams to build, operate, and monitor CoreWeave’s network. Your goal is to make our network so highly automated and intelligent, that you forget it’s even there.

3+ years experience in the following areas:

• Exposure to multiple networking vendors
• Mellanox, Nokia, Juniper, Arista, Cisco
• NVIDIA/Mellanox/Nokia is our bread and butter, this is your target for monitoring
• Experience supporting large infrastructure projects
• A love for the following tools and protocols:
  • SNMP is last for a reason. gNMI or bust!
• Prometheus, Grafana, Alert Manager, gNMI, gRPC/Rest APIs, and SNMP
• Deep understanding and working knowledge of Linux
• +10 points if you have so much home automation that you can't even remember what a light switch feels like
• For Loop Engineering for the win! Python & Shell scripting are required.
• +10 points if you’ve ever complained about NAGios
• Must be willing to containerize your toaster in K8s. K8’s is life. 
• If you go to bed thinking about how to do this, this is the place for you.

• A great attitude, without an ego, and a willingness to help those more junior, and learn from those more senior.

Nice-to-haves:

• 5+ years experience directly or indirectly helping deploy & manage monitoring of large networks
• Knowledge of the 11 herbs and spices in the KFC recipe
