Job Description
Senior Network Engineer
Implement and manage the infrastructure that supports a global messaging platform. Responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and monitoring of all Sinch network infrastructure residing in co-location data centers, Amazon Web Services (AWS) and other Communication Service Providers. Work proficiently with concepts and protocols, including switching (spanning tree, ether channel, 802.1q Virtual Local Area Networks), routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), packet capture and analysis, Internet Protocol layer access control, network performance and availability monitoring, and cloud infrastructure related to networking. Monitor, identify and troubleshoot performance issues for TCP/IP traffic to ensure continued, uninterrupted operation and support user needs where required. Troubleshoot connectivity, quality of service, break/fix, and configuration issues within the environment using troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark etc. Conduct incident handling and reporting for issues affecting priority customers. Track status, update and escalate tickets as necessary to ensure compliance to all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and customer satisfaction. Provide technical support and solutions to customer by diagnosing product issues through analyzing logs, errors messages, and network traces. Responsible for management, maintenance and architecture of all network and security devices. Monitor systems and proactively identify performance issues. Participate in capacity planning/analysis and implementation of systems. Create and maintain documentation related to data centers, systems, applications and networks. Work with global team members to ensure the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of Sinch network and services.

Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or electronics engineering or computer science.
- 4 years of experience that includes the following: Switching (spanning tree, etherchannel, 802.1q VLANs);
- Routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP); Packet capture and analysis; IP layer access control, IOS and ASA-based IPSEC VPNs;
- Upgrading IOS, ASA, and associated software; Networking in AWS and Azure environments; Enterprise-level data center design and deployment;
- Linux/Unix operating systems networking components and available tools;
- Cloud infrastructure for networking (integrating hybrid infrastructure, managing routing tables, implementing virtual appliances, network tuning and optimization).
